Thought I would let everyone know that if you buy the PTS rebuild kit, you do not get the thrust washers or thrust bearings. To say the least I was pretty disappointed since I would have thought these would have been included or they would have told me that these are purchased seperately in another kit.
I did order these as kits since most of my thrust washers were worn. Otherwise the kit looks pretty complete.

Paul, the kits do not include thrust washers, but we have plenty here and I will ship them off to you at no charge. Give me a call and let me know which you need and I will ship them to you in multiples. Thanks, Mark

Mark, I went and bought a thrust washer kit and torrington brg kit but thanks for the offer. I'm not sure yet if they are all included but will let you know if I need any others.
Instead could you send me two sets of REAR CARRIER pinion needle rollers (19 each) to repair two pinions. I also need the pins (2 ) which hold them in, if you have them. If not how much for a new carrier?

It looks like the kit only includes one wave spring, which one is it, overun or reverse clutch? How can I get the other one?

Thanks Mark, please let me know asap.

Hey Mark, called you last nite and left message. What can you do about the pinion needles/pins? Still wondering about the other wave spring.

Should I do anything to the steels before installing them? I may have heard that some rough them up, true/false? If so what to use?
Thanks

paul

Paul, if you have an issue with the needle bearings in the rear carrier you would be best served getting a new carrier. You may well have damage to the carrier itself. As far as the wave washers go, they aren't included in the kits and Bruce thru in the extra washer as a courtesy. Let me know the diameter of the one you have and I can tell you which you need.
I would use some fine grit polishing paper and clean up the surfaces of the steels. We use one of our lathes to do this on.

Mark

Ok Mark I will let you know on the wave spring.

I was asking about preparing the new steels, not re-used ones. Were you also?
Thanks,
paul
