anyone know of a place in or around kentucky that can rebuild a converter, the one in my car has a perfect stall speed for my mods and I'd like to keep it but the lock up clutch is about gone I think...it won't stay locked up on the highway or around town and doesn't lock up at all when it gets up to full temperature... :)

Have you replaced the TCC? That might be failing. The 700r version is recommended if you lock the converter at the track.

Imo

Where in Ky?
There is a place in or around Louisville that I would recommend you DON'T take it to---Bradco
I have been involved with 3 different convertors from Bradco--all 3 were defective. Just my bad luck? Maybe, but I do know it didn't seem to bother him that I took a bath on 2 of them.
Best of luck.

Lee,
Someone just tried to get me to buy a Bradco bolt together unit. Is this what you have?

No

The first one was a restalled D-5 It had a washer melt inside--That one only cost me a pump rebuild--Actually was not counting that one as a loss.
Second one was a $900 N/L race convertor--it was made wrong inside and eat up a friends trans--I loaned him my trans for BG--ate it also.
Third one was also a restalled D-5 that had a weld break inside. I ate a trans on that one also.
Not my favorite convertor company.
Some people swear by them.

anywhere around lexington or louisville...mainly so that I wouldn't have to bother shipping it.
