Rebuilding transmission

I would like to get my tranny rebuilt by someone that knows what they are doing. The closest person to me that is good is Vince Janis in Akron, thats about a half hour from me. I do not really have the necessary tools to take the transmission out myself so what are my options? I have thought about towing the car there but that would be expensive. What should I do?

Only basic tools required, nothing special. It's not at all that difficult. Get a few of your buddies and go to town and save some money by pulling it out yourself.

Change of plans took the car out today and it shifts normally, I think it was just heat. Wont be rebuilding as of now, just need to purchase a good tranny cooler.
