i tried running this thing in my car (86-87 setup) and just bought the correct turbo...will probably be removing this weekend sometime...i've put about 50 miles on it since installed...can post pics of everything included once i remove it...if any of you guys are interested, please let me know...i will sell as much of it as i have...i paid 275.00 shipped..i felt it was a good deal for an 86-87 but thats not what i got...pretty complete though as well as a new appearing wastegate, however the wastegate has TWO connections on it rather than one...i have no idea who rebuilt it, but they stamped their initials and date on it in 2000 sometime...again, i am willing to take as detailed photos as you want, when i get it off...thanks for reading...and the price IS negotiable...

Take as many pics of the turbocharger as you can I would like to see what kind of shape it is in before deciding.

The 84/5 wastegate actuators are supposed to have 2 vacuum hose connectors on them...

didnt know

thanks...the wastegate on this one looks new..i didnt install it...didnt understand it and couldnt of mounted it if i wanted to because of its design...the turbo does its job but i could get any more than 11 psi with it because i have a lotta other stuff to address (header leak and incorrect vaccuum line plumbing maybe and for sure an intake manifold rear leak) b4 i could really see the turbo's potential...i am sad that i didnt get the 86-87 that i was so desperate to receive, so i tried to make it fit...i commited to dfisher's late '85 20 bolt block and decided that im gonna do a poston's rebuild kit on it and replace blocks when im done... but b4 that im gonna run a 63k mile stock 86-87 turbo that i found and replace the intake gasket (for now) so i can play around with the car b4 i'm done rebuilding the other block...not for racing, just the occasional stoplight war and whatever else...i've wanted one of these cars since i rode in one at 16 yrs. of age (86 gn) now i got an 84 (im32 now) and i want to see what they can do with me as the driver...

there is certainly a wealth of info here on this BB...i dont see how people kept up w/out the internet b4 .....
thanks for reading
