Ok, here's the story. My stock 135,000 km tranny finally decided to crap out. So, i got a reccomendation from a local fast tr guy for a shop to rebuild it. I send him the tranny, and tell him to make it raceworthy (mid-low 11's, all hard parts and such). I get the tranny back, pay to have it installed, and find out that it won't shift to 3rd under WOT (hits rev limiter). At first he tries to blame the way the t.v. cable is adjusted, but after a while of my bi*%hing and complaining, rebuilds it again. He tells me clutches and 2-3 band were gone. After it was redone, i pay to have the tranny installed again. He says he did it the same way, with the exception of installing a regular 2oo4r governor to bring the rpm during shifts down. All is well (or so i thought) until i get to the track (car normally sees almost no street time). SAME PROBLEM. So far , i've spent $450 in mechanic bills (installing and removing the tranny twice) on top of the $2350.00 to do the rebuild in the first place, as well as 3 weekends of racing. What do i do?
