what do you have to do to recalabrate...speedometer for a 145 over lay is it worth it

You will need a reducer gear box on the speedo cable to get it calibrated. IMHO I wouldn't use the overlay and just stay with the stock speedo face. If you recal the speedo, the speed the computer sees will be a mile off and your TCC lockup will be way late.

If you use the reducer gear box, the VSS speed will be way off. If you get the speedometer recalibrated by a speedo shop you shouldn't have this problem.

Reducer Is Incorrect!

The proper procedure involves remagnetizing the outer cup magnet, and changing the hairspring. It's a simple process, but involves some skill and unique tools.

We can do it for you. We also have hundreds of NOS Buick speedo mechanisms to ensure the finished product is absolutely perfect.

All we need is your original speedo face (it comes off with 2 screws) and for $225 you get back a NEW, genuine GM 145 MPH unit.

Let me know...
