T wheels Powdercoated with clear
The Polished and Powdercoated wheels look great. Of coarse some folks like a brushed look over highly polished which is fine because once you prep wheels to where you like them you can powdercoat them to stay in that particular state. G-Body took some dull T-wheels and they highly polished them then powdercoated them clear. Lot of manufactuers are doing a basic clearcoat, while others powdercoat the clear so that it Electrostatically Adheres to parts and is a Harder /Better Protectant. Powdercoating engine components, valve covers, intakes, wheels, Infact March serpentin systems powdercoats their upper end billet polished aluminum pulleys and accessories etc etc.. In the Mtn bike arena seen high end aluminum bikes with beautiful welds/works of art that were polished then powdercoated clear to keep that polished look staaying fresh. Aluminum if not clearcoated it will weather and oxidizes and gets dull again so you then have to repolish. Now you polish it once powdercoat with clear and it last almost indefinately.
