regal dash to GN dash, help

im trying to clone a regal to a GN, and im just looking for a little advice. I'm buying parts from kirban (gn seat covers) and from buickgn.com (OEM dash kit & Glove Box Plate). Only problem I see is the red that is suppose to be grey. I know the plastic interior parts can be painted, but what should i do with the red vynil (SP). Will paint work? Will I have to buy a new dash? Any input is a help.
Also, do they sell Rear GN seat covers, or will i have to buy a new rear seat?

Look for vinyl paint made by SEM. I used it in my swap to change a T-type dash from maroon to black and it worked well. Lots of prep involved, but the results are good. It's actually a flexible, colored coating and not a dye. You'll want to get their Vinyl Prep also to prepare the surface propertly.

I would go to a u-pull-it and just buy the grey dash. Should only cost about $20 bucks at the most.

what are the odds of finding a good grey dash? arent they rare? i would figure they would go for more than 20 bucks, or maybe its just me. keep the opinions commin!

I'm sure he'll have all the parts you need for the interior, including the dash.

Thx! You can see some pix of the interior on my site. I did the dash in black and the door panels and trim in grey. I got all the grey hard-plastic pieces I needed out of a junkyard Oldsmobile 4-door, but grey dashes are hard to find -- and i wanted black anyway .

You can find the SEM line at most quality automotive paint stores.

weaver may be close to you and he's got a lot of stuff
also I would check out parts ads on the turbo trader
I use Bob Hebert in mass for TR parts., but you'll find a whole bunch of ads on there - also check out the vendor lists on here and gnttype.com/turbobuicks.com
