Remote switch for Scanmaster II?

Has anyone ever wired a remote switch for their Scanmaster II? Maybe I'm lazy, but it seems ackward to me to scroll through the various readouts by reaching over my steering column while driving. I think it would be a lot easier if I could mount a remote switch somewhere like by the ashtray!
