Hey guys, got a 99 Chevy Tahoe w/ a 350 vortec that has factory dual exhaust w/ dual converters. I want to remove the Converters but there are 4 oxygeon sensors here. one in front of each converter and one in back. If I just weld up a piece of pipe there thats gonna mess up the computer right? How can I get around this, anyone do this on one of these trucks??? Let me know.....

You can do it as long as you get some O2 simulators for the rear. If you dont the check engine light will come on.. :) I have a 99 Burban and have thought about this too.

I've been doin some looking on the net and seen thoses simulators you mentioned. They range from $25-$89. I might just yank out the check engine light I think, I guess all that rear sensor does is tell the computer if the cat is there and working, nothing else. So screw it, I'm gonna try it first and see what happens, if I need that simulator I'll get the cheap one. I'll let ya know what happens. The main reason I'm doing this is for Sound, I have a Flowmaster dual in dual out and want it a little louder ( I miss my glass packs, but the state patrol doesnt) ;)

Just found this on some ricer page, looks like a good idea, cheap and effective, mechanical O2 simulator, moves the sensor out of the direct path, check it out, one fo the HELP! parts .gonna try this myself..
