Has anyone successfully removed these decals from the drivers side door, mine are almost unreadable and I am getting ready to repaint my car. Can they be taken off with a heat gun or by some other means?
I seen someone on e-bay has one of the decals, but they don't have the other one.
Whats your thoughts on these decals?
thanks

I'm drawing a blank what decals on the door. Are you possibly talking about the driver's side front fender instead? If this is so, Eastwood makes a excellent plastic tool for taking of the grand national and the intercooled badging. Without digging into the paint or metal.

Inside the door on the back jamb, one has tire info and the other has something else, I just can't recall right now.

What happens is the clear plastic comes off and leaves what's left of the information. Use some lacquer thinner to remove the rest. You'll have to get new ones if your goal is to retain them.

gotcha. Had me going there for a minute. I think we used 3mm adhesion remover and saved the nasty little buggers... Really. don't know why but someone thought they were important.
