I'm going back to a single wire o2 sensor, becuase I just got several single wire denso o2's from my buddy. What do I have to do remove the heated o2 wire harness. I bought this car w/ the heated o2 setup. I disconnected it and hooked the one wire up, but two of the wires from the heated kit are connected in the back of the engine compartment. I noticed after putting the new o2 in my numbers are low and move slowly.

the caspers heated o2 i recently installed piggybacked into EGR soleniod valve wiring harness(3 wires from o2 sensor harness plugged into egr soleniod, harness then plugged into harness from ecm). i was told from caspers that they use this circuit because it's grounded and will support heated element. i switched to heated o2 so it would react faster and give better crosscounts-very happy so far. are all the sensors your buddy gave you new? have they ever seen leaded fuel? what brand are they?

the o2's are all new Denso ones. Should I just remove the wires that are piggybacked into the back of the egr connector

did you locate this connector on EGR soleniod? i think you could leave connector hooked up(good to have if you want to switch back to heated sensor later), i would make sure unused connector for o2 sensor was taped up and secured to prevent moisture, grime, and possible short from happening
