Removing rust in the fuel rail?

I am cleaning up my engine parts and noticed some rust inside the fuel rail. Any suggestions on how to clean that out? I will eventually blast and paint the outside so I don't mind if the cleaning process takes off the paint.

i think you should replace it rather then mess up future injectors

I might try a gun cleaning brush. They are available in copper (more aggressive) and plastic (less aggressive) depending on how bad the rust is. Just be sure to blow out all the loose junk afterwards! I'm guessing the injectors would not like rusty bits and copper wire strands!!

I looked around and could not find anywhere that sells the stock fuel rail, not sure if I can get it. If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know.

The gun cleaning brush is a good idea, but I don't know if I can clean both sides. One side of the rail has that valve stem type fitting that will not allow me the get a big enough brush into it.

The instructions from my gas tank cleaning kit say to use diluted Muratic Acid to remove the rust. What do you guys think of trying that?

Try some auto restoration tricks. I recently soaked a rusty pair of pliers in regular old white vinegar for a few days and it remover all traces of rest. It will darken the steel a little but who's looking inside a fuel rail anyway.

There's also a method using a washing soda and water mixture. You use a battery charger to provide the current. Supposedly the rust comes right off, but I haven't tried it yet. a Google search will tell you all you need to know about that method.
