Removing windshield??

What is the trick? Need to remove the winshield from a G-body but how do you get it loose with all that sealer??? Frank

They need to be cut out.

You cant get it out without breaking it.

You can get it out with 2 people and "windshield wire". You should be able to get the wire at a good autobody supply store. The hardest part is getting the wire started. A good sharp fish fillet knife through a lower corner is usually the best place to try. Spray the area and knife with a glass cleaner as lubricant. Then with one person inside and another outside, holding the wire with vice grips "saw" through the sealant. If you drag the edge of the glass, most likely it'll crack.

BTW :I'll never garauntee that I can get a windshield out without breaking it

Get a tool. An L shaped blade and handle with a cable and another handle attached. Slip in the L shaped blade under the glass and into the seal and hold the blade in position with one handle and pull with the other handle all around the shield to cut the seal. Then lift out the windshield. Check with some bodyshop supply houses to locate the tool.........Under $15.
