Just got a rear bumper filler new from Postons and it has a small crack in it. Looks like it probably got bounced around in shipping. It's about an 3/4 - 1 inch long located near the area of the license plate.
Ticks me off to have to fix a new part and I probably ought to just ship it back, but I suppose is can be made good as new with a little repair. Any advice how to do this? Can I just paint some resin into the crack and reinforce it with some fiberglass cloth on the backside? Or do you have to cut away at the cracked area to get enough new material in there make it strong? Any advice is appreciated. If repairing it won't make it as strong as it should be, I'll probably send it back. Thanks
