How do you replace the black trim cover around the key opening on the door locks and trunk lock?
Does it pop off?
Lock have to be removed?
Hate to scratch up the door trying!

Thanks.

You have to remove it from the inside door panel. Be patient bc it takes a while to do correctly.

I am gonna have to know this myself very soon.

I think it is part of the lock cylinder. The entire part comes out by disconnecting it from the inside of the door - maybe a spring clip, I think, holding the cylinder to the door skin.

Yup, remove door panel. Disconnect linkage. Pull the U shaped clip to one side and the cylinder comes out. Instead of trying to pry off the cover, I just got new cylinders and had them keyed. Seemed to be easier to me and I didn't want to damage the originals. For the trunk lock, you have to drill out a rivet as I remember and the clip pulls straight down. Then you can get a U clip & screw to hold it in. On drilling out the rivet, be careful to not let the drill go in too far when it breaks through. The bit will hit and damage the cylinder.

Is this the rivet?
