It was leaking a little and I had to motavate myself to take the turbo off as it was a very small leak. It looked real bad when I got it off. I ran a bead of hi temp copper gasket maker on each side of the new gasket and let it skin over while I removed the turbo. After firing it off the leak was gone but damm it spools way faster!

That's the same method I've used for years. I tried all of the gaskets that were out there, installed the graphite ones dry, even with silicone, and this copper gasket and method is the best I've used.
Glue the copper gasket on both sides with copper rtv, and let it sit for 24-36 hours before starting it to give it a good chance to cure. Then after a couple hundred miles of driving, go back and check the 3 nuts on the turbine housing inlet flange to make sure they are tight. I've lost those nuts before due to them coming loose from heat cycles and vibration.
Glad to hear of the quicker spool up. Enjoy.
