I think I may have found the cause of my high BLMs ever since Ive owned my GN. Found that the alchy line came off somehow at the nozzle and all the meth sprayed the front cover, instead off going into the engine. Car pulled 14° of timing, still ran a 11.92@110, and I drove it home! Didnt even noticed it when I put the uppipe back on either, but its pretty dark at Cecil in night.

Pulled it all apart and found the inner seal is pretty beat up. Looks like the nozzle mangled it a bit, as its still loose to the uppipe even when its tightend down. Is it something I can find locally, or do I have to order it from Razor? No big deal either way. Also found a slightly ripped IC coupler, so I'll take car of that too.

Also, shouldnt there be a seal on the outside as well, or just inside? I didnt install the kit. It was present when I bought my car.

Thanks,

Scott

got a pic of how a line came off , cant imagine the line being unscrewed and not being easily noticed
and as for it being that way since you owned it i recall youve had your monkey hands in the engine bay a few times with the timing chain and the turbo etc to say that it has been that way since day one

you can check Advance on the racks by the section they keep oil pan plugs , there should be an assortment of steel oil plug washers with the sealer on them that one should work

if nozzle is loose add another sealing washer , one inside usually is enough , but on some thin uppipes you may need another on the outside

btw if the nozzle was still installed in the uppipe .. thats not your blm problem , id guess the loose leaking ic hoses to be the cause first,

oh and dont qoute my posts

I know what I saw. And I know I DID NOT touch the alchy line at any time during ANY of the recent work on my car.... I went to check the coolant and oil, and I then turned the boost down at the RJC valve, and noticed the alchy line wasnt attached to the nozzle. Beyond me how it came off, but rest assured it wont happen again. I'll check with Advance but I wont hold my breathe on any stores around here. Maybe a plumbing store would have something.

High BLMs Im not too worried about. Figured a leak in the uppipe may have caused something, I guess I was wrong. I'll pick up a new coupler locally. Forward Motion should have some I'd think.
