replacement driveshaft options????

I am just about finished with my new motor, the trans is built, rear end is built, and I plan on racing the car quite a bit over the summer....my stock driveshaft is rusty and the U joints are original. Are there some options for an aluminum driveshaft for these cars with the 2004r and 8.5" rear? What should I expect to pay for something like this?

I just took my GN around the block after getting the new tranny in, while I was replacing it, I ordered a 3.5" TorqueTech aluminum driveshaft. I think it was around $350 shipped, they knew all the measurements and had it to me within a week. Haven't been past 50mph, so I can't say how the balancing is, but it looks sweet!! Alot of guys go with a Dennys Driveshaft also.

FWIW, I am using a Metco DS loop, and have the Hooker Exhaust system and the driveshaft fits without any issues.

I would think $500-600 for a decent aluminum DS. Im no expert tho. Here are a few links I had saved. Good luck.
