Replacing the original engine oil lines (go from oil filter to radiator) and are having a problem. I can break the threads loose on the end of the hose at the oil filter but the nut will NOT turn on the tubing so I can turn the nut 10-15 degrees and the tube hits the exhaust manifold. I tried PB Blaster to free up the nut on the tube but it is not helping. What can I do? I cannot clamp down on the tube to spin the nut since the tube will collapse. HELP!

You have to hold the nut on the oil filter round adapter, which is the NPT fitting adapter to the tube pipe, really well with the open end wrench and then work the nut on the tubing fitting back and forth slightly until it starts to break free.

PB Blaster for a day or two should do the job, dripped down the tube into the fitting end, make sure you try a bit of tightening as well as loosening the tubing nut so it starts to work free.

If you are replacing the line you can cut the tubing off flush near the nut so it can spin past the ex. housing and take the adapter off the oil filter housing and work on the whole deal in a large vise on a work bench.
