replacing roof skin

I need to replace the roof skin on my we4, I bought a donor roof and started to stripped it down to find the spot welds and I removed the lead. I'm almost ready to seperate the roof skin but I can't tell if it is spot welded in the drip rail or not. Is it spot welded in the drip rail from the bottom to the roof? It doesn't look like its spot welded in the drip rail itself.

What style roof do you have now? Are you converting a T-top to a hard top or?

I have a solid roof with a pop up moon roof that I want to replace the skin with a solid with no moon roof.

Welds

There are welds along the "gutter) on both sides. Take a cut off wheel,carefully trim the underside of the gutter.then take a wire wheel,clean the seamsealer off the edges,yo ushould be able to see the spot welds.5-6 welds on each gutter. Use a spot weld cutter on the backglass and w-s pinch-welds. It's not too hard.. I insatlled a fact astro roof on my gn...(and love it)
