I have my turbo out and want to replace it with something that will get me in the solid 11's with a 2800 stall (trans rebuilt stage 1 by JANIS). I am planning to replace the intercooler with the Precision Stock Mount, and have my Fuel and hot wire kit in place and Ford Blue top injectors (can replace if suggested). I am starting to get confused on all of the different turbo combos around. In all my research it seams that a TE-60 would be great except I can't seem to find one. I am trying to spend the least amount as possible so ball bearings are not important, but still want things done right. It seems there are alot of gizmos and gadgets that people buy into that are really cool, but don't mean that much.

The Precision GT6157 w/ boosted technology journal bearing turbo works well with 2800 stall.I got the H cover for faster spoolup.

The turbo that nuclearxp suggested is a good turbo but the journal bearing version of that turbo would need more stall than your 2800 converter. The bb version would work with your 2800 stall but would be quite a bit more $$ than the jounal bearing turbo.

Also you may need to step up to 50 or 60 psi injectors to support a bigger turbo.

That's the turbo I went with after deciding I couldn't budget a BB at the moment. Haven't had the car out very much but I'm liking the turbo so far. Seems decent with a Pats 3200 converter (I've never actually stall tested it to see what RPM it holds to).

Mine spools as good as the TA49 that I replaced but it pulls a lot harder than the 49.

They're right. There is a sticky in this forum about gt6152s and people's combos. I wouldn't reccomend under a 3000 stall for it. Sorry I left that out. I second 2nastybuick's reccomendation.

BlueTops

Not sure but bluetops maybe on the edge for that turbo. You should consider going larger possibly 60's as there is another post and it's about 42.5 injectors /009's not being enough for a 6152 turbo @13psi

I hate to mess with replacing the converter again, can I get into the mid 11's on the 2800 stall?

TE-44
TA-49
PT-51
PT-52
PT-53
PT-54
GT 6131

Would all get you in the 11's with a 2800 stall and the supporting mods to get you there. I have the PT-51 and ran 11.09

I have the 6152 and a PTC 2800 and it SPOOLS like mad! In fact Dusty switched me back to the 2800 from the 3200. The 3200 was flat on the big end and just way to loose. I run it with the 009's and alky. 24psi and no problems. The car feels so much better and I should have some track times in the next couple of weeks to back it up for you. 6152 all the way!!
