resetting ecm

I have a 99 gtp that I need to reset the ecm on. Can somebody tell me how to do this?

Dis-connect the negative terminal and let the car set of 5-10 min, then re-connect.


Sometime it`s best to use a scan tool, You should view the code or codes before deleting them.

Actually, 5-10 minutes doesn't always work. I'd disconnect for a minimum of 30 minutes. That will do it for sure.

yeah, I'll try that...did it for 10 minutes and it didn't work...I'll give it a little longer
