My motor in my 85 t is wrecked and I'm thinking about buying an 86-87 longblock off a local member to get me back running. I previously bought all the external parts to do the intercooled converssion but don't have the time or money to get in to all that right now. I'm looking for a quick easy fix. Can I use the H A stuff with the 86-87 longblock?I know I'd have to plug the turbo oil return line and oil cooler lines. Any one ever done this or know anythig elese that would cause me problems like dipstick, crank sensor etc?

Plugging the drain line is about all you'd need to do. Everything bolts right on .:)

Is the HA motor a 14 or 20 bolt block?
If you have a 14 bolt HA block . . . . AND . . . you do not have the correct timing cover there could be some assembly issues.
Other than that, everything "should" bolt on. ;)
