About a week ago i posted about where to buy or rebuild my trans. IT would kill me not to drive my car so a bought a junk yard trans. As it turns out the trans Is in great condition and already in my car. I know that it wont hold up to a turbo car, but it works so i can take my time on the rebuild.

So my question is how do i wire the 4pin on the car to the 3pin on the trans?
I have found info on this but no direct answers.
Thanks

You have to either cut off you connector and leave off the extra wire and use a 3 pin male in its place. Or the correct way would be to drop the pan, pull the vb, tap the port for the extra switch, install a switch, add in the extra wire (or just use your 4 pin harness from in the trans, and finally switch the female case connector). You should just switch out the vb, servo, and boost valves in the pump, governor, and speedo driven gear anyway. Then you will be very close to what your trans is supposed to be. You could just call up CK and get a 4 pin harness and connector if you dont want to swap out parts.

Thanks what does the 4th pin control? The 3rd gear lock up?
3rd pressure switch. Various things could be programmed into the e-prom when the 3rd signal is on or off.

oh and does anyone have a diagram or know what wire goes where?
I have chilton's repair manual, But that doesn't tell me where to put what wire in what hole. I have this problem at home to lol.
