Traction or not, it wasn't even close! There is a guy here in town that shipped his Z06 down to a place in Alamorgodo (Roswell maybe?) for a twin turbo set-up, been down there months, but they "say" 600 horsepower on pump gas. We'll see if a 17 year old, 150k mile V6 can show him what turbos are supposed to do!

What an awesome vid. I gotta give the kids credit in the DSM - they were definitely impressed with the Vette and didn't talk it down or act stupid about it.

They knew they just got their rice pilaf handed to them on a Bowtie Platter.

I have to agree with that. The kids in the video were being cool. I was not trying to rag on ricers or anything. I just knew it wasn't a domestic offering that was running that Vette. I do have a respect for the DSM cars.

I couldn't see the stickers or the fart can so I can't really say ricer.

But still it's a good video. I got a good laugh off of it. That 'Vette is nasty.

FWIW & IMHO: Even though it says "Lingenfelter" in the title,
that's a Doug Rippie motorsports (DRM) (at least partially) vette.
Pics and some details are over on CorvetteForum somewhere.
If you look close, you can almost see about an inch of the blower sticking out of the hood.

both cars are pretty impresive. they did jump the vette by quite a bit, but it took the vette a while to catch up, once he caught up it was all over, and from a fair start the import had no chance. its still pretty impressive.

not quite a 9 second lingfelter though....
