rich / raw fuel smell at start up ????

at start up I have a raw fuel smell and some smoke, my fuel rail pressure gage reads 40 lbs .what could cause this ? please help . thanks

I would look for an injector staying open when the car is off. How long do you have fuel pressure after shutting off the car?

What chip?, what injectors?, what mods if any? Did this start all of a sudden? Did you make any changes before this started?
