Well the other day I was looking at the new 2003 ATR catalog (20th Anniversary) and I saw this under an old picture of Harper's GN launching.....
"Rick's best 2002 1/4 mile times was 9.91 @ 136 mph at 3500 lbs. for the new Turbo Street class with the 109 factory block. By mid-summer 2003 Rick is looking to be running in the mid 9.60's."
Now last I heard Rick sold his car and I never heard that he ran TSM in 2002 or that he ran 9.91 @136mph so where is this BS coming from?? Maybe Scott Simpson or Lonnie Diers could tell me if he ran at some TSM events, but I think if he ran 9.91 @136mph (those times sound a lot like what Roy Garcia ran) somebody would have known about it and mentioned it a LONG time ago!!! Maybe somebody is telling some fairy tales?? I just thought the other TSM guys should know if they don't already about Harper and how he could be a threat in the class.....
