As a reflection of the radical improvements in performance and durability that RideTech has implemented in their shock program over the last 3 years, all RideTech shocks sold after January 1,2013 will carry a
1,000,001 mile warranty!

Why? - From RideTech president Bret Voelkel: "In partnering with the engineers at Fox, we've been able to see dramatic improvements in the handling performance, ride quality and durability of our entire shock line. At this point all RideTech shocks…ShockWaves, Coilovers, Struts, and the new Q Series Smoothbody shocks use this new monotube platform qualify for this 1,000,001 mile warranty. This 1,000,001 mile warranty is a demonstration of our confidence in this program."

Details…
  • All RideTech shocks sold after January 1, 2013 are included in the 1,000,001 mile warranty program.
  • After your shock purchase from your favorite RideTech dealer you must register your purchase at www.ridetech.com/shockwarranty within 30 days
  • If your RideTech fails to perform properly within the next 1,000,001 miles, RideTech will repair that shock free of charge. The only exclusion is obvious external damage [accident, abrasion, etc.]
  • If you sell your car before the warranty expires, the warranty can be transferred to a new owner by going to www.ridetech.com/shockwarranty to register the new owner.
  • Anyone who expires their RideTech 1,000,001 mile shock warranty will get a picture of themselves and their car in a full
**Registration needs to happen within 30 days of purchase to remain eligible for this extended warranty. That’s it! If you ever have a shock failure in the next 1,000,001 miles, RideTech will repair that shock FREE of charge.

Other items to know about the RideTech 1,000,001 mile warranty:
  • Obvious external damage cannot be warrantied [accident, component abrasion, etc.]
  • You will need to ship your worn out shocks directly to RideTech for evaluation and repair. You pay for your shipping and we’ll pay for the return shipping.
  • We cannot pay for any removal or installation charges. We also cannot pay for any other repairs or damage that might happen to your car.
  • You must register your product within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for the 1,000,001 mile warranty.
  • If you sell your car before the warranty expires, the warranty can be transferred to a new owner by clicking here to register the new owner.

Here’s a great new way to upgrade your suspension: send in ANY pair of coilovers (new or old) and receive a $100 trade in value on a new pair of monotube impact forged Ridetech CoilOvers or ShockWaves.
Everyone wants to save a little cash, but what many people really need is a better ride quality. That’s why for the next few weeks we’re offering a special that will make it easy for anyone to upgrade to a Ridetech shock. We’ll accept any pair of coilovers of any brand, in any condition, and save you $100 when you jump into our CoilOvers or ShockWaves!

why not just make it a lifetime warranty, without the need to register your car or your info with them?
what if you go to different shocks later and sell them to someone else to put on their car- does this void the warranty?

I guess RideTech would be the ones to ask these questions but I do know the warranty Is Transferable and I would guess the reason for register your car is so they have something to keep track of...

(Here is info right from their web site)
If you sell your car before the warranty expires, the warranty can be transferred to a new owner by clicking here to register the new owner.

** Just another Great warranty to offer customers over the regular mundane off the shelf shock with little to no warranty!

I think it is great that they have such an offer but, I have heard it before from kyb. The hoops of retaining an original receipt got me on theirs and they lost my business. I am used to Sears and their broken tool deal. It's broke, they replace it. Seemed easy but with the shock from the mid 2000s and it clearly spit the seal and leaked the fluid. I was told "sorry, can't help you without a receipt".

I guess registering gets this receipt stumbling block out of the way. Not sure. I will have to look into it. I do have Monroe shocks and the kyb s hanging on my garage wall next to the cracked flexplate and a torn up rod. Lets me tell everyone who will listen about the poor customer service.

That said, I bet this vendor will have business from me and will surely uphold their find reputation for excellent customer service. Thanks for the heads up on this new option.

I can't vouch for KYB nor would I ever put them on anything but I can vouch for Brett Voelkel and his staff over at Ridetech. Brett and his staff go above and beyond to help their customers which I have seen it first hand at events and with my customers. Your absolutely correct about the registering part which is why it's required and even a Re-register form for the new owner if you were to sell the car so they can properly continue the warranty program.

If or when your ready to purchase shocks give us a call we offer discounts to TB.com members vs dealing straight with ridetech.
