What is the preferred ring gap for moly rings. Plan to run 22 to 24 psi boost. Diamond pistons. Thanks Dave

I ran .019 top .022 2nd on a 3.820 JE. No problem at 800hp.

What gap would you start having a problem? Blowby compression loss?

Too many variables to answer that. I typically have about 8-10% leakdown after the engine is sealed up good. Blow by is nearly nothing at cruise. It increases with cyl pressure. No blow by = no balls. If your planning on making some power you will certainly have blow by. Round cylinders with the proper finish will do a lot for reducing leakage but at WOT the whole block is moving around and there is a lot more pressure to seal.
