Can I run the RJC biggie oil filter adaptor with out the oil cooler fitting off of the oil pump? I just took off the oil cooler and the biggie adaptor threads on no problem.

Anyone run this?

As long as the filter seals against the oil pump cover it should work OK but I don't think it will...it seems to me the hex part of the "Biggie" adapter would stick out too far...try installing a filter...

i asked the guys from RJC in person at the BG nats this year and they said no because i was wanting to run a larger filter without the cooler. i think the pf52 filter is the largest you can run with no oil cooler.

Guys run the oil cooler adapter with the lines removed and capped off then you can run the RJC piece without an oil cooler.
Just an idea, Kip

Not so sure its a good idea to run the cooler lines capped. Maybe someone that knows for sure will chime in. I'm thinking with the adapter in place the pump will be trying to pump all the oil into a dead end, and probably through the bypass which probably isn't big enough to handle all of it.

FWIW: This is the filter that I run with the same setup (no oil cooler adapter) It will outflow anything out there and you don't have to worry about ever bursting it. The downside is the cost, but once it's paid for the elements are around $11.00 and you only change it every other oil change.

Loop the lines. Do NOT cap them off.

you can not run the biggie adapter without an oil cooler manifold. You can run it without the oil cooler itself if you loop the cooler lines as mentioned earlier. You can not cap the cooler lines unless you want all of your oil supply to go through the little bypass inside the cooler manifold. This would instantly destroy your engine.

if not running an oil cooler, yes use the PF-52

hope this helps.

Yes, I'll also stress DO NOT cap off the oil cooler lines on the adapter plate. The oil had to pass through the cooler to get back to the motor so just capping the lines will starve your engine for oil. Don't ask me how I know :(

Remove the cooler adapter completely from the front cover and just screw your filter on the cover.
