RJC cam sensor repair kit?

Is the tab that indexes the interrupter ring to the shaft a stronger better made piece than the one that comes installed on a stock factory or replacement cam sensor assembly?

So my question is would installing this repair kit on my new cam sensor that is not broken, would that indexing tab be stronger and possibly prevent a problem from breaking?

I was thinking it would be but wasn't quite sure. That is why i think i will do it to prevent a failure before it happens. Even though I've never had a problem with a cam sensor before, these days you never know where the parts are being made and what materials they are using,maybe not as strong as the originals.
