I wanted to know how well people like their megacooler? The 325 version? Lag? Overheating?
Reason I'm asking is because I wanted a Precision F/M originally. RJC unit does seem larger.

IMHO the RJC product is a much better product. The only drawback I have with it is that it is really heavy. I sold a CAS V2 FMIC that was a little smaller, but apparently the quality of the RJC unit comes at a price.... in the heavier thicker materials Jason uses.

I think the CAS V1 would be a nice piece (don't think they are being made anymore), but since I have not directly compared it (size and wt) to the RJC, I can't say if you would get close to the area with less weight.

As a rule, RJC's products are very good quality..... hard to go wrong there.

Yea, I remember the CAS products. He quit making them about 5-6 years ago. Many liked those units. I wanted the Precision unit and I found out that they quit making them as well. I hope that if the RJC unit is heavy, it lines up in bolt holes for easy install. I was away from the Buick world for about 5 years. I am now trying to get up to date with all the changes with "go fast parts" for our cars.

The Precision is no longer made, so you would have to find a used one. The RJC seems to have nothing but positive feedback.

Well, I bit the bullet and purchased the 325 unit. A couple of you guys like it and after speaking with Jason from RJC, I am sold. I just hope my dual fans will keep temps low.

I feel the RJC unit will fit the bill....The Precision unit does the jod just as good.. I can keep temps at 170~175 on an hot Cali summer day in stop & go traffic w/1 fan (Thanks Peter) and an Alradco Aluminum Radiator (Thanks again Peter)...:D

The precision unit is pretty good but you compare the charge air temps to ours, ours really shines. We have done this test several times our IC-325 has always been around 50 deg less. So far no one has been able to duplicate the efficency of the staggered fin bar and plate core. there are some copies now that look the same but you will get what you pay for...

now for some other news. We are developing a tube and fin intercooler thats core is the same as the CAS front mounts. Tony Dequick did an excellent job with those. In the begining our goal was to duplicate the performance of them. We did that with our bar and plate but our core is heavier. So now you have a choice with these intercoolers Bar and plate and Tube and fin IC-325

we are still compiling our data and testing on these new cores. more to come on this soon.
