I bought a RJC check valve and need install help. Do you leave pcv valve in place? Does anyone have a pic with it installed?

I bought a pcv check valve from Kirbans and it sits above the pcv valve with a piece of 3/8 hose connecting them. Then the other end of the check valve is connected to the hard vacuum lines going to the vacuum block.

just be careful on those check valves , they start to stick in the closed position . I had mine on and in two months it started to stick. Now I have a all stainless Rick got me and works like a dream .I use it with a oil catch can though.

blackmonte, post pics of your pcv/catch can setup. I'd like to see how it's routed. thx:cool:

I will try and get some pics up for you but it is routed over to the Ac accumulator drier, Its a Elite Engineering Silver LS1 oil catch can $145.00 ,I used an air compressor dryer first, , it is routed pcv, check valve, into the catch can then out of catch can to vac .And I think i used 3/8'' trans lines tubing. Picks up lots of oil that would be going in the intake.

ALL Stainless CV

How much and where didya buy it?

$20.00 I got it from a friend , here is an old pic of the check valve it's hard to see since I painted it black.

Oh and sorry I looked at the plumbing on the catch can and check valve and is pcv,3/8'' tubing to the catch can , 3/8'' tubing out of catch can ,check valve then 3/8'' tubing to the vac source which would keep any pressure from entering the catch can and intake..

It's a stainless steel rebuildable check with a viton seal that I use in the car wash. It really over kill considering it's good for 3500psi  but I like to do things that way. I remove the spring so that they instantly crack open. This way the PCV is not effected by any in line restriction. ;)

I'm interested in these SS Check Valves.

Which model number Stainless PCV Check Valve did you use?
Not sure , how you installed this in your 3/8" ID PCV Hose? Did you install
3/8" Hose Barb x 3/8" MPT fittings in each end? Or did you go with a 1/4" FPT inserted into your hose?

Would love to see a picture of this installed in your line if possible please.

Here's a picture of my AMW double catch can set up. Just had to make up a bracket, and mounts on small flat section of passenger side wheel well (directly below battery box).

1st catch can for the PCV system and 2nd catch can for venting of valve covers (to keep intercooler oil free).

Thanks,

dave
