How are you guys sealing the valve covers when you use the spacer? Are you sealing the spacer to the heads or the spacer to the valve covers with "The Right Stuff”?

IMO use right stuff from VC to spacer then just Fel pro VS50156C installed DRY from spacer to head.
Be sure and clean everything real good with brake cleaner, or equiv.
Doing it this was will allow you to remove the VC's with out them being stuck to the head later if need be and they will seal just fine dry.
FWIW I have never used sealant on these gaskets and even reused them and they seald back up fine. key is dont overtighten them and make sure mating surfaces are clean.
