Rocker Arm Play?????????????

Should there be any play with the rocker arms? Either, side to side or up and down????

Perfectly normal to have both side and radial play. I installed Jason Cramers billet spacers
at each bolt attachment location which i thinks help strengthen the shaft and new speed pro shafts and rockers and buttons. Quiet as a mouse and reliable.

But is there a point where there is too much play? it there a certain way to check this? We aren't seeing any wear but a lot of clatter.

You will have to get a pushrod length checker and check for proper pre-load on the lifters. Check the lifters also for any collapsed bottoms or not pumping up. If all is well and they are still noisy replace the shaft assemblies. Frank
