I am aware that alchy users tune for wot o2's in third gear most of the time. I'm just curious about egt's in the low gears. I did a test on a short road one time. I power braked and brought boost up to 5 lbs.(damn need those s10 cylinders!) and mashed the pedal. boost went up to 19 in first gear with no knock. I had to let off at 60 mph because the road was going to end before I had to make a left turn. Scanmaster showed 902 lowest 02's, no knock @ 47 mph. EGT gauge showed a max temp of 1440 in the low gears. Man I wish the road was longer so I could see what the 02's and EGT would be in 3rd gear. What do you think about my egt temps in those low gears? Thats being close to 1500 degrees which is the target I'm shooting for at the top of 3rd gear. By the way, my alchy turns on at 11 lbs. and is at pump speed 7.

Your o2 are a little high. Either back off the FP or back off the alchy or up the boost, any will drop the o2 reading down.
I don't like more than 1550 *F but many say that 1600*F is OK.

Gary :)

I shoot for 1650*. Looking at my DS files, I had the same problem. Pig rich on the bottom end. I attributed that to the Reds chip. I didn't want to bother sending a 93 and 106 chip back and forth to get them leaned out, so I bought the Max Effort, so I could lean it out where I wanted.

Now no more pig rich bottom end on street and race settings.
