I am going to the track tonight and gonna test out my new combo and hope I don't blow nothing on Friday the 13th! ya i know i just jinxed myself...

anyways i will be taking my catalytic converter shell off and disconnecting it from the rest of my exhaust system...my question is how do i keep the downpipe from banging against the frame? i know it will because it has before...should i wrap it in exhaust wrap or something? wish i had a dump but i don't...i don't want false knock tonight....thanks

Is your convertor gutted? If so just unbolt the exhaust behind the cat and rebolt it using only two bolts so the exhaust does not hit the ground. I didnt describe it very well but do you see what I'm saying?

yeah i see what you are saying...hey that is a very good idea! i will try that...thanks!

I have been running my downpipe open for 8 months or so. Only reason is, because I have to. I have no exhaust or cat to put on it yet. I think my d/p hits the frame because I sometimes get knock even after I have let off the throttle. I get knock at 11 psi with my race chip, but sometimes it's alot higher than others, even at the same temps, f.p., and such. I think tieing my engine down to reduce rotating may help out though. It does get attention though with that d/p open. :D
