Well I started tuning the car a couple weeks ago (tt chip). So I started taking fuel out little by little and the car started running better and better (no knock), needless to say I've taken out 20% overall and an additional 20% in first gear. So I've taken all the fuel out I can with the chip, that was all at 20# boost and I dropped it down to 15# to see what happened and it was running rich. My question is, should I start using the translator to take out more fuel or have the chip re-burned?

If you have alchy turn up the boost. 15lbs is low even with 94 octane.
What exactly is the chip burned for boost wise? Makes a difference.
I am doing the same thing with a 67GTQ & chip is 26 lbs with alchy so of course at 16-20 lbs its rich. Turn up the boost some.

I always start with the Translator. If you lose 12v power to the chip, it resets & you are back to square 1. Losing 12v power to the Translator doesn't cause it to reset.

I'm showing my lazyness. I set the chip after dialing in the Translator & the Spark Translator.

It's burned for 18/19 lbs no alchy, I was running 20lbs and it still seemed a little rich. I'll have to get a new sensor for my wb o2 to see where its really at but I'm sure I can take more out of it.

You must not be using a chip that was burned for your car or you are running less boost than the chip was intended for. Ive never seen a TT chip off by that much. Lol. you must have just posted before i posted. You should be able to answer your own question. A re-burn will take car of it the cheapest.

I ordered it straight from tt and gave him my exact setup, its an autometer boost gauge so it should be right, I hope.
