I had my 86GN out for a little drive tonight. The car was running perfect, then it started to run rough and I could smell gas from the exhaust.I pulled over and checked under the hood and everything seemed tight and connected. It was dark and raining out so I might have missed something. The car only has a few mods( hot wired xp pump, adj fuel reg, blue tops ,Red's 93 chip for blue tops, smc alky kit, heated o2) I left the car at a friends house and will check it out tomarrow. There was raw fuel in the exhaust pipe.I think my heated O2 went bad,it is about 5 years old. I don't run leaded gas. Any suggestions as to what happened or what to check out?
Thanks,John O 86GN:confused:

I don't have any scan tool numbers.I am going to hook one up tomarrow. There were no codes. As soon as the car started to act up I parked it.It was starting to rain,so There was'nt much I could do with it tonight
Thanks-John O

I checked all the vac lines and I/C hoses, they were all good.Checked adj fuel reg -ok .Replaced O2 with a new stock one .Started car and drove around the block, still ran bad and smelled of gas but no codes..I replaced the mass sensor with a new GM one I was saving,no change.I hooked up a scanmaster and the #'s for the O2 were ok for the way I was driving. The coil pack ohm out ok, but I am going to retest with Casper's coilpack tester tomarrow.I think an injector is stuck open.I got the injectors used and think they have more miles on them than I was told.I'll pinch off the return fuel line and see if fuel pressure bleeds off.I'll also try a different chip for the heck of it.Is there anything else I should check?
Thanks-John O:confused:

You're on the right track! Keep searching, this problem will show it's ugly head sooner or later. :D
