car has been down for a month or so waiting for a new tranny. Finally, i got it back and all put it etc. I go to start my car and is just dumping fuel like mad. It drove fine though before the tear down. i did build my own cold air setup for it while it was down and setup my DIY alky kit. I dont know if the MAF is bad all the sudden to what. It did run a little smoother though when i unplugged the MAF. I also had to kinda rotate it down to where the plug in sits vertically instead of horizontally to clear the belt of the engine. I dont think this would make a difference or does it?
I've alreay replaced plugs and plug wires.
My scanmaster readings were rediculus.
All i can remember is the AF was 200 something and IAC was something rediculus as well.
Anyway, Im just confused. Any suggestions?

When my MAF died the Scanmaster alternately showed 4 g/s then 255 g/s, basically rail to rail. The car showed an error though when that happened.

If you are really stuck you can (at idle only), pull off the up pipe, duct tape the maf onto the throttle body and if it idles nicely you have a massive air leak somewhere. With MAF unplugged, it will run but not well.

OOkay im an IDIOT. When putting my MAF back in i must have not been paying attention cause i put it in backwards...lol

the simple things can be a pain in the butt, glad you found it before you got too frustrated
