Running without rear deck speakers???

First off, not a big audiophile since my hearing sucks due to too much Zeppelin, etc back in the day. Here is what I am doing. Have a Metco fuel cell for my alky in the trunk so have to close off the trunk from the interior using one of our trunk firewall kits. Was thinking about running some speakers in the rear seat side panels to have some sound coming from the back. Going to use the panels that are set up for use with 5 1/4" speakers. Any recommendations? Like I said, as long as it sounds comparable with the stock speakers is good enough for me. Using a late model GM CD player.
