Would like to know the specific part number for the larger S-10 wheel cylinders. How can they be identified when sitting on the parts counter so as not to be confused with wheel cylinders that comes stock on our TRs?

I bought a set last year and really felt no difference and thought possibly I was handed the wrong part or I asked for the wrong part. I'm willing to do the job over again to be sure. Please clarify the part needed for the upgrade.

John,
If i remember correctly the wheel cylinders come off an s-10 with manual brakes. They look the same, but the inside bore and piston are larger.
I will look at work on sunday and get some part numbers if still needed by then.

The ones I bought from Advance Auto are Tru-Torque.
The part number is; W37644

It also has other manufactures on it:
Wagner;F110261
Bendix;33892
Ray Bestos;37644
EIS;EW104432

I just happened to have mine sitting in my basement. I haven't had a chance to put them in yet. I am going to use them with two large shoes.

When I bought the wheel cylenders I sked for an 85 S-10 with manual brakes. The difference in the piston size was larger than that of the power brakes.

I hope this helps.

Matthew
