S10 truck...sometimes when turn key nothing happens

Seems to be getting worse too. Turn key...nothing. Turn key again...maybe nothing maybe start normally. Often it starts normally on the first try, but sometimes it takes 2 or maybe 3 key on-offs for starter to begin turning engine.

What is this? Bad starter?? Bad part of starter??

Yeah...that's what I thought. Been this way for a couple of years....steadily getting more frequent in non-start on first key turn.

Better get it fixed before wife gets stuck someplace...lol

Did you finish the pump install? Any new track times?

Check your shifter linkage.
Battery cable connections could be corroded.

I have a Suburban that the shift linkage got loose and had a no turn over until I fixed the linkage.
