what is an s88? I havent heard of it.I assume an s trim whell in an 88 housing?

It is a Airwerks based unit, Forced Inductions sells it.
I think Innovative made something like this for a while.
From what I can remember it is rated at 1575HP.

JEEBUS thats alot of HP.Wonder what the spoolup is like?

Not that I ever even want to go that far,but it sounds interesting.

The units are designed for all out race. They are geared more toward high rpm engines or large displacement since they use a large turbine wheel. Also they are physically the same size as the GT42's. Also we have the S series from 70mm all the way to 88mm. They all use the same chassis and turbine wheel, and can be had in a few different A/R's.

What kind of power are you trying to make?
A GT47 or a Y2K might do the trick.
We will have a GT47 car out in a couple weeks.

S88 is a smaller more compact unit then a GT47-88. It uses a smaller physical frame.

The S88 has been 8.7'@160's in a 3800+ lbs car with an LS1 and still has room. The Y2K and GT47 will both do that as well with ease.

What do you think about a GT42 based unit for Brian?
Will the S88 spool on a 272ci?

I like the GT42's for smaller cube motors like these. The S88's are a beast like the GT47's and Y2K's. They are tailored more toward big cube motors or HIGH revving engines. The supra's use the big 88's, but they also rev to almost 10K and use N2O as an assist.

It should be close, as Cal Hartline.
I think he has done close to that on drag radials.

42/76 should get you there easily at that weight. My 8.81@158 was at 3445#

Yep also Roy/Laz have been 8.89 @155mph with the GT42-76 at 3500lbs their first time out with it and in the dead heat of the summer!~

I'm sure they were running the GT42-76 turbo, I'm sure this was their first time out with that particular turbo, I'm not 100% sure the car was exactly 3500lbs but I do recall somebody stating it was right around 3500lbs... And last but not least I'm sure it was HOT that day
