Paul,

What year is the block? Since there was no SBC in '48, it had to come from another vehicle. Driver's side dipstick or passenger's side? One-piece rear main seal or two-piece? Will any sump depth work?

I don't have one, but have lots of co-workers with cluttered garages.;)

Aloha,

I changed the whole drive train. The motor is a 76 four bolt main, so any early model will fit. Thanks for the reply. I took off a deep sump, and would like to put on a regular one.Dip stick on driver side.

Thanks,Paul

Hey Paul, if you're looking to replace your oil pump, I have one unused in the box if you want it. It is a GM oil pump part number 3848907(new no.12555884) Z-28/LT-1 high pressure pump(60-70psi). Bought it from Todd Schwartz back in '89 when he worked at Mike Salta Pontiac. Let me know.

Thanks Mick. I'll talk to you about it at the track tonight. You have all kinds of goodies.:)

See you later.

Still checking...

Buncha guys are on vacation, and the guy that I'm SURE has one, went to "Lost Wages". Will let you know as soon as I find one. By the way, what are you going to do with the deep pan?

Aloha,

I don't know what we'll do with the pan. It looks like a add on hamburger pan. They used to sell the kit awhile back. Do you have a use for it?

Wassup Paul! I think I have a stock SBC pan call me if you want it.

Damn..... I forgot about the GM parts store:D I think my father's friend has one, but if not, I'll let you know.

So what..... new years at the rebuilt house?:D Denny and I have a good story for you guys:eek:

Paul,

My co-worker gave me a pan today. It's kinda rusty on the outside though. But it's free!

Aloha,

Thanks Tom, I'll let you know. My father got one from his friend, but I need to see if it fits,
