Which direction is a SBC distributer clocked....clockwise or counter?

They aren't clocked at all. They come straight out of the intake vertically.

The rotor spins clockwise...if that helps.

Actually #1 can be whereever you want it to be.

and you can swap the 4 and the 7 with the right cam.........but that's something different all together...
