Hmmm what does it mean when it blinks? Open/closed loop? waht is the difference between open and closed loop?

The blinking dot means the car is running in open loop. On a cold start, data from the ECM is used to start and fuel the car until the car is warmed up. Then it switches to closed loop which relies on more data from the sensors.
