As I was cruising on the street, I notice my scanmaster numbers were going all over the place! The knock was jumping allover the place, mph was like 96 when I was only cruising at 45 mph, basically everything was going all over the place. Could it be the scanmaster is bad? I don't want to have to buy another one. It actually worked normal again when I shut off the car and started it again. Whats causing the scanmaster to go nuts like that?

Anyone elses scanmaster ever gone nuts with numbers going allover the place(not just the o2 either)? Just confused how that can happen:confused:

The units have been extremely reliable over the years.

Your problem sounds like a bad ground or data connection.
Recheck all your connections and report back.

Also, where is the unit grounded?

Bob

Hmm...haven't checked under the dash in a while. I'll go see where it is grounded and let ya know

I just instaled a new chip yesterday and mine went nuts, I'm about to go see if Turbolink reports bad values too.

checked the grounds today and it was good. I found the wire connector that goes to the aldl was loose and so I pushed it in till firmly in place. No problems yet.:)
