Is the scanmaster 2.1 the newest version and work with powerlogger

No, they give you a new chip with the PL for your scanmaster.

if you are looking to buy a new scanmaster, 2.1 is the current version that is being sold. Over the years, there were some 2.1 units sold that used
a smaller cpu chip inside.

When you buy a PowerLogger, it comes with a 2.2 update chip to install in your scanmaster. If you have an "old" version 2.1 scanmaster the update chip may not be compatible.

Thank you bob I have a used powerlogger and ecm and I was looking to get a used 2.1 scanmaster from a guy and needed to know what to watch for

you will need him to take a picture of the inside of the scanmaster to see if it has the large style chip.
